Today is the 289th anniversary of the birth of my 6th great-grandfather, Jonas Seely. Jonas was born 17 September 1719 in New Canaan, Fairfield, Connecticut, USA to Ebenezer and Mercy (Dean) Seely.

Jonas married Sarah Bartlett in 1740 and they had five children, four sons and a daughter. Jonas died 04 December 1757 in Goshen, Orange, New York, USA.
