Today is the 249th anniversary of the birth of my 5th great-grandmother, Phebe Gore. Phebe was born 07 September 1759 in Loudoun County, Virginia. Phebe was the second daughter and fourth child (of ten) of Thomas and Sarah (Clowes) Gore. Phebe was married to Caleb Whitacre on 31 October 1776 at the Goose Creek Meeting house in Loudoun County, Virginia.

Phebe and Caleb had 11 children: 7 sons and 4 daughters. Phebe died in Loudoun County on 23 February 1804.
