Today is 209th anniversary of the birth of my 4th great-grandfather, Robert Haddow. Robert was born 12 September 1799 in Springfield, Carluke, Lanarkshire, Scotland.

Robert married Jannette Ormiston and they had six children, three sons and three daughters. Robert and family emigrated to the USA; arriving in New York aboard the brig Portaferry on 06 June 1834. Robert died 16 February 1885 in Barlow Township, Washington County, Ohio.
