Today is the 171st anniversary of the marriage of my great-great-great-grandparents, Elizabeth S. Lowe and Jonathan Walker. Elizabeth and Jonathan were married 28 November 1837 in Washington County, Ohio.

Elizabeth was born 17 October 1820 at Duck Creek, Noble County, Ohio, the eldest daughter (of six) and third child (of ten) of Jonathan and Hannah (Ayles) Lowe. Jonathan was born 29 Jun 1816 at Indian Creek, Monongalia County, Virginia (now West Virginia), the youngest son (of three) and youngest child (of eight) of James and Sarah (McMullen) Walker. Elizabeth and Jonathan had fourteen children (including two sets of twins!), seven daughters, and seven sons. Jonathan died 01 April 1897 at Dalzell, Liberty Township, Washington County, Ohio. Elizabeth died 12 December 1906 at Fifteen Mile Creek, Liberty Township, Washington County, Ohio.
