Today is the 342nd anniversary of the birth of my 8th great-grandmother, Gertrud Reichmann. Gertrud was born 18 November 1666 in Siegen, Westfalen, Prussia, Germany, to Johann and Elisabeth Reichmann.

On 27 May 1690, Gertrud married Johannes Hofmann and they had eight children, four daughters and four sons. Gertrud died 21 November 1728 in Eisern, Westfalen, Prussia, Germany.
