Barbara was born 28 March 1738 in Obermoschel, the eldest daughter (of four) and eldest child (of five) of Bernard and Maria Magdalena (Sues) Junck. I don't have any information about the parents or family of Johannes. Barbara and Johannes had six children, two daughters and four sons.

Today is also the 198th anniversary of the birth of my great-great-great-grandfather, Anton Kress. Anton was born 11 January 1811 in Hessen, Germany. By 1842 he was marriedto Eva Wehner (Warner) and living near Fulda, Monroe County, Ohio. [In 1851, when Noble County was formed Fulda was in the new county.] Anton and Eva had seven children, five daughters and two sons. Anton died 20 June 1883 at Fulda, Noble County, Ohio.

By 1846, Margaret had immigrated to the USA and settled at Fulda, Noble, Ohio and married Peter Ruppel. Margaret and Peter had twelve children, five daughters and seven sons. Margaret died 19 September 1900 at Fulda and is buried at St. Mary's Church Cemetery there.

Today there are three anniversaries in my family. Today is the 241st anniversary of the birth of my 5th great-grandfather, Peter Spangenberg. It is also the 162nd anniversary of the birth of Peter's great-grandson, my great-great-grandfather, John Konrad Ruppel. And, it is the 103rd anniversary of the birth of John Konrad's grandson, my paternal grandfather, Harry Frederick Schoen.
Peter Spangenberg was born 15 December 1767 in Germany. John Konrad Ruppel, was born 15 December 1846 at Fulda, Noble, Ohio, USA. Harry Frederick Schoen, was born 15 December 1905 at Hohman, Washington, Ohio, USA.

John Konrad was the eldest son (of seven) and eldest child (of twelve) of Peter and Margaret (Clay) Ruppel. On 22 November 1870, John Konrad married Carolina Herbst at Fulda, Noble, Ohio, USA. John Konrad and Carolina had nine children, six daughters and three sons. John Konrad died 27 February 1912 at Hohman, Washington, Ohio, USA and is buried there in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Harry was the only son and eldest child (of three) of John Charles and Helena Loretta (Ruppel) Schoen. On 20 April 1940, he married Freda Irene Needs in Marietta, Washington, Ohio, USA. Harry and Freda had two sons. Harry died 24 June 1967 in Marietta, Washington, Ohio, USA and is buried there in St. Mary's (Old) Cemetery.

John was born 15 December 1846 in Fulda, Monroe, Ohio, USA, the eldest son (of seven) and eldest child (of twelve) of Peter and Margaret (Clay) Ruppel. (Noble County was created in 1851. Before that date Fulda was in Monroe County.) Carolina and John had nine children, six daughters and three sons. Carolina died 01 February 1903 at Hohman, Ludlow Township, Washington County, Ohio, USA. John re-married on 09 May 1905 in Hohman, Ohio to Lousetta (Burkhart) Nau. John and Lousetta had one daughter.
