Today is the 184th anniversary of the birth of my great-great-great-grandfather, Peter Ruppel. Peter was born 21 December 1824 in Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany.

Peter was the son of Anton and Elisabetha (Spangenberg) Ruppel. Sometime before 1846, Peter immigrated to the USA and settled at Fulda, Noble, Ohio and married Margaret Clay. Peter and Margaret had twelve children, five daughters and seven sons. Peter died 31 October 1891 at Fulda and is buried at St. Mary's Church Cemetery there.
