Today is the 187th anniversary of the birth of my great-great-great-grandmother, Margaret Clay. Margaret was born 23 December 1821 in Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany.

By 1846, Margaret had immigrated to the USA and settled at Fulda, Noble, Ohio and married Peter Ruppel. Margaret and Peter had twelve children, five daughters and seven sons. Margaret died 19 September 1900 at Fulda and is buried at St. Mary's Church Cemetery there.
